I just got back from Target. (You know my daily trip!) I brought in my own bag and they gave me back $.05 on my order. So if you go once a week, that is a $2.60 savings over a year. Now that I put it out there like that it doesn't sound like much. Bring your own bags anyway it is better for the environment.

Noah's is 1!

So today is Noah's first birthday! I remember being a kid and I couldn't wait for the summer to come and be out of school for the summer. During these times all the adults in my life would always say time goes by so fast, enjoy each season. Right-What child listens to that. As an adult I find myself saying today where has there year gone? Noah is now one, trying so hard to walk. I have to say I have enjoyed every minute. (Even staying up all night when he's sick and changing those diapers that give me pause as to what exactly did he eat.)

Saving Water

Do the shower heads that claim they save water and money actually work? I will let you know. We have installed the Waterpik Ecoflow in our master shower, and so far my son thinks it is awesome. It has a neat pause button that causes the water to flow even lighter. The package says that if you use this feature you are saving more than $100 a year. More about this later.....

Green?

What does it mean to be "Green"? I have heard it so often that when my oldest asks me for a green crayon, I start to think "They make organic crayons?". Is this what the people who coined the term intended it to become. You can look in the dictionary at http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/green- after a lengthy definition this is what it says:

10 a often capitalized : relating to or being an environmentalist political movement b : concerned with or supporting environmentalism c : tending to preserve environmental quality (as by being recyclable, biodegradable, or nonpolluting)

Who wouldn't want to "GO GREEN"? Who wants to pollute? How does God want us to treat the earth?
